Dive deeper with the WASUP Yoga team!

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨/𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘜𝘗 𝘺𝘰𝘨𝘢: I've been practicing/teaching on the water for 8 years!

 

𝘍𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘚𝘜𝘗 𝘺𝘰𝘨𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦: My favorite pose to do on the water is a tie between tripod headstand and wide legged forward fold.

 

𝘉𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳: One of the best things about practicing on the water is being in nature and being part of the ebb and flow of energy out there (especially the warm, sunny, peaceful Savasanas!)

 

𝘍𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘖𝘍𝘍 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳: My favorite thing to do off the water is play my guitar and hang out with my sweety Stacy and our dog Ollie.

 

𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘧𝘶𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶: I also like to fix up guitars / amps / fx pedals in my spare time.

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨/𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘜𝘗 𝘺𝘰𝘨𝘢: Ten years


𝘍𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘚𝘜𝘗 𝘺𝘰𝘨𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦: Downward Dog....it’s a basic pose that’s a staple in most classes BUT so very different on a SUP. That first glimpse of the water while I’m upside down, between my feet, always make me smile :)

𝘉𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳: Being out in nature and getting to see, hear and feel all the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and Puget Sound

𝘍𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘖𝘍𝘍 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳: Biking or hiking in the mountains and then sipping a delicious craft beer when I’m done.

𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘧𝘶𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶: I have my own personal training business that I’ve been running in the Seattle area for the last 20+ years

𝘉𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳: You are so in touch with alignment and what is really going on with your practice

𝘍𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘖𝘍𝘍 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳:  Sit on a beach a look at and listen to the water!

𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘧𝘶𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶: My favorite place to have a WASUP class is in the secret lagoon under the train bridge.

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨/𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘜𝘗 𝘺𝘰𝘨𝘢: I have practiced yoga since my early 20s but did not find SUP yoga until about 7 years ago. I have been a fitness trainer for many years and sneak a bit of yoga in to every class I teach!


𝘍𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘚𝘜𝘗 𝘺𝘰𝘨𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦: Vajrasana- for meditation and devotion on enlightenment and freedom from suffering for all sentient beings

𝘉𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳: Literally everything about it. The changeability the outdoors the water the people - it's all so imperfectly perfect.

𝘍𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘖𝘍𝘍 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳: I am married and also a mom of 2 teenage boys so hanging with my family makes me happy!

𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘧𝘶𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶:  I make the best pizza sauce!
